Animation for a short-movie

The animation illustrates a flashback sequence, with a voice-over from one of the characters. The client wanted a grungy paper cut-out look to fit the mood of the rest of the film.
Some scenes are animated thanks to a mix of rotoscopy made frame by frame in Procreate, and 2D motion on After Effects.
